Q: What notable figure or celebrity defines durability best? Why?

A: Daley Thompson - twice Olympic decathalon champion in the 1980s. For me, a sporting hero encapsulating the essence of durability - strong and resilient across many disciplines and activities over many years.

Q: Which of your hobbies tests your durability the most?

A: I still play competitive league (field) hockey. Unfortunately the vast majority of both my team mates and the opposition are half my age. I am therefore not really sure if this demonstrates durability, tenacity or stupidity!!

Q: Where in the world is your favorite place to be?

A: The Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland on a cloudless summer evening - a robust and majestic natural beauty.
