Pacific Crest Trail Association - WILD

Backpacking the Pacific Crest Trail: One Woman. 1,100 Miles.

In 1995, Cheryl Strayed went WILD –backpacking the Pacific Crest Trail solo with hardly any experience or knowledge of the terrain. A novice backpacker, she forged through heat, snow and ice with often dwindling supplies.

Her inspiring tale and truly durable story as told in her book WILD: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail (2012) is now a major motion picture about endurance, perseverance and perspective.

To help support all the “Cheryls” out there, and to protect, preserve and promote the PCT, CORDURA® brand is teaming up with the Pacific Crest Trail Association in effort to raise awareness for the trail and preserve it for future generations of durable people to experience and enjoy this national treasure.
