INVISTA Sponsors 2008 Best Rangers Competition

Additional Donations Included COOLMAX® Extreme Fabric T-Shirts And CORDURA® Fabric Reinforced Jeans

Wilmington, DE - May 12, 2008 - INVISTA once again shows its support for warfighters competing in the widely recognized Best Rangers Competition as a Platinum sponsor and with the additional donations of several items that showcase its high-performance fabrics.

For the 25th annual Best Ranger Competition (April 20-22, 2008) at Fort Benning, GA, INVISTA provided a $5,000 sponsorship and in partnership with Tac Wear and Ranger Joe’s, donated 160 Competitor and 140 Cadre COOLMAX® Extreme fabric t-shirts with freshFX™ technology for every competitor and staff to wear during the competition, In addition, INVISTA donated Diamond Gusset Sherpa Jeans made with 500 denier ACU printed CORDURA® fabric to the top five winning teams

To each of the 29 teams, the competition t-shirts that were donated integrate COOLMAX® Extreme freshFX™ fabric, which offers excellent wicking, fast drying times, outstanding breathability and comfort.  Further, the freshFX™ fiber technology is designed to inhibit the growth of bacteria to help clothes resist odors, keeping the clothes smelling fresh and clean longer. “For soldiers who wore the COOLMAX® fabric t-shirt during the competition, they experienced first-hand the effective moisture management of the baselayer,” says Sharon Birk, Military End-Use Marketing Manager for INVISTA’s CORDURA® NYCO brand.
