INVISTA and CYBERKNIT Collaborate on New CORDURA® Baselayer Brand Fabrics

WILMINGTON, DE - August 8, 2008 - INVISTA and CYBERKNIT have teamed up to develop 10 new CORDURA® Baselayer brand fabrics.  The new line offers innovative knit structures destined for a broad range of apparel applications.

The new fabrics will be on display at each company’s booth (CORDURA® brand booth #38209 and CYBERKNIT booth # MR255-201) at Outdoor Retailer’s Summer Market 2008, which will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah, from August 8 – 10, 2008.

“CYBERKNIT fulfills its customer’s needs by developing fabric solutions like moisture management, ultraviolet protection, antimicrobial properties, durability, warmth and stretch,” says Sharon Birk, end-use marketing manager for INVISTA’s CORDURA® brand.  “We are thrilled to join forces with CYBERKNIT’s innovators.  Their newly available knits featuring CORDURA® Baselayer fabric offer a number of their latest and greatest qualities, along with the recognized durability of the CORDURA® brand.”

The product line was built around a fabric blend of high tenacity nylon and cotton and recently launched as CORDURA® Baselayer brand fabric. The new fabrics include an interlocking thermal, a mesh, a blend with LYCRA® elastane fiber, a French terry, as well as several ribs and pique double knits.  Specifics on the new fabric offerings are highlighted below (these are anticipated specs, as products are finalized some variation may be made to improve performance):
