INVISTA Announces New CORDURA® Fabric Collections

Dong Jin, Lee Jo, and Industrias Texteis Milagre Fabric Mills Premier New Collections at 2010 Outdoor Retailer Summer Market Trade Show

Wichita, KS - August 3, 2010 - INVISTA’s CORDURA® brand team and participating mills will debut their latest collections of CORDURA® fabric technologies at the 2010 Outdoor Retailer Summer Market trade show in Salt Lake City, Utah, Tuesday, Aug. 3 to Friday, Aug. 6.  These innovative fabric collections were developed by Korean-based Dong Jin, an authorized CORDURA® fabric mill for more than 20 years; Lee Jo Textile, also based in Korea and an authorized CORDURA® fabric mill since 2001; and Brazil-based Industrias Texteis Milagre (ITM), an authorized CORDURA® fabric mill since 2003.

Details on the exciting new fabric collections are as follows:

Dong Jin International Corporation:

• 210/330D Rip Stop CORDURA® Lite Fabrics – This exciting collection inspired by fashion forward designs is based on a blend of high tenacity nylon fiber technologies to create stylish two-tone effects using contemporary rip stop weaves.
• 700D CORDURA® Classic Fabrics– Collection offers a lighter weight solution (when compared to traditional 1000D alternatives), combined with renowned CORDURA® brand durability. Suitable for both outdoor and military gear, as well as a softer hand version for workwear apparel applications, these fabrics provide exceptional value and optimal strength-to-weight ratios.

Lee Jo Textile Company Limited:

• 420x840D CORDURA® Lite Fabrics – Designed for lightweight durability, this trend-setting collection features contemporary check pattern weaves for added style and exceptional strength- to-weight ratio performance.
• 500D Dot Embossed CORDURA® Classic Fabrics – Newly developed for cutting-edge style,  this exciting collection features ‘dot embossed’ 500D CORDURA® Classic fabrics.
• CORDURA® Lite Fabrics – This nylon-based collection features a stylish blend of lighter weight warp yarns in combination with heavier weft yarns to achieve a fashion forward embossed look with soft hand texture.  

Industrias Texteis Milagre:

• SUPERFAB 4507  featuring CORDURA® fabric technology – this collection features a high level of resistance for abrasions, water penetration, and perforation, all tested and approved according to EN ISO 13595-1 (Impact Abrasion Resistance), Satra TM 77/1992 (Water Penetration Resistance) and EN 388 (Perforation Resistance) .
• SUPERFAB 4507 is a tough yet flexible textile designed to bring ergonomic support when used in both the shaft and tongue of boot paneling. SUPERFAB 4507 utilizes INVISTA’s nylon 6,6-based CORDURA® Classic fabric technology and is targeted for outdoor, military and motorcycle footwear applications.
