Dunderdon Launches Updated Garments Featuring CORDURA® Brand Fabric

Comfortable Durable fabric from KLOPMAN INTERNATIONAL lends style and function to work clothing range

Swedish workwear company Dunderdon has adopted KLOPMAN Vantage fabric featuring INVISTA’S CORDURA® brand technology for updating key products in its workwear apparel portfolio.  This adoption combines multiple strengths in the workwear industry: the experience of KLOPMAN as a leading European manufacturer of fabrics, the innovation of Dunderdon as a European workwear designer and the renowned durability of INVISTA’S CORDURA® fabric technology.

KLOPMAN Vantage fabric using CORDURA® fabric technology is an intimate blend of INVISTA T420 nylon 6.6 fiber and combed cotton. Used by the military for more than 45 years, fabrics based on CORDURA® NYCO blends have been proven in the world’s toughest environments. Using KLOPMAN’s expertise in dyeing and finishing has allowed a transition of valuable CORDURA® brand technology from the military uniform market to benefit the world of workwear. KLOPMAN Vantage fabric provides the optimum combination of durability and comfort for the workwear garment industry.

“The strength, light-weight feel and comfort properties of the CORDURA® NYCO fabric from KLOPMAN is perfectly aligned with what we stand for,” said Johan Hult, co-owner of Dunderdon. “Dunderdon products offer both quality and value to our customers. We aim to incorporate expert craftsmanship, innovation, and style to our garments, without compromise on comfort and fit”.

Dunderdon will use KLOPMAN Vantage fabric featuring CORDURA® fabric technology to upgrade existing popular garments. The CORDURA® NYCO fabric will be used in the production of carpenter pants (article P11), service pants (article P14) and summer jackets (article J39).

“We are excited that Dunderdon chose Vantage Fabric featuring CORDURA® brand technology in their desire to add increased  durability and comfort to their work clothing range,” said Susannah Rayfield, EMEA CORDURA® brand manager.  “CORDURA® fabric is a perfect fit for this apparel line in that its renowned durability can withstand the pressure of the demanding daily activities and working conditions these professionals encounter.”

The garments will be targeted towards working professionals in the construction and service industries.  Over the past few years, Dunderdon noted that design and fashion are becoming more important in workwear brands. The updated articles unite fashion and functionality to create work clothing that construction and service professionals can use with confidence.

The trousers and jackets, which will be launched at the end of April 2010, will feature CORDURA® brand sew-in-labels and hangtags.  For a complete list of dealers, distributors and color availability please visit the Dunderdon Web site at www.dunderdon.com.

“KLOPMAN is very pleased to be associated with the newly launched products from Dunderdon,” said Emil Fredrikson, KLOPMAN INTERNATIONAL. “Vantage fabric is the ideal solution for such functional, stylish garments.  It’s fantastic to see garment brands adopting fabric technologies, like Vantage fabric, which offer wearers the complete package – durability, comfort and fashion.”
